    External HDD and External SSD issues.


    Is anyone else having an issue. Where if you plug up an external HDD or and External SSD. It keeps disconnecting your controllers. While playing a game?

    This has only been happening since the last 3 updates.

    SSD keeps needing reconnected after turning on Xbox One console. Any ideas why?

    Never got that issue on my external hdds. I have connected 3 drives. None of them had that issue ever. Even a external ssd shouldnt work that way. I guess it could be an issue with your ssd itself..

    Rise of the Tomb Raider only starts with DLC installed, if console is switched offline.

    If anyone is interested, we managed to find that the problem only occurs if the game is installed on an external ssd.

    If the game is moved from the ssd to the internal hdd the problem does not occur. Formating the ssd and moving the game back did not fix the problem. Other games launch fine from the external ssd.

    The problem seems to be linked to (external?) ssds and (Rise of the Tomb Raider?) DLCs.

    you are able to use SSDs - yes, I am still on a traditional external HDD, but various people as i've seen in youtube see a better performance by a few seconds using an external SSD
