    Hi,

    I have a Series X with an external 5TB disk connected. When my Series X is off (standby) the disk spins up every 30 seconds for 3 seconds and then shuts down again. Is this normal?

    I don't see how this could help me? It's not my Xbox which goes in power saving mode but my external harddisk.

    Or am i wrong here?

    The External Storage is only for media, film, music, pictures, ...

    over one year i have no problem to move media to the harddisk and show on xbox.

    For games i use the internal one.

    Have you tried to take out the harddisk and put it back in again?

    Make sure your xbox is off when you do that.

    It sounds like your harddisk just broke down but who knows, maybe it's just a case of bad connection to the xbox.

    Could me a broken harddisk. If it happens again, remove your harddisk and connect it again.

    Could also be caused by a bad connection between the harddisk and the xbox.
