External Hard Drives Keep Failing on My Xbox One

Hello, I currently own the first generation Xbox one. I recently bought a
2TB Seagate Game Drive to store all my games on. I had about half of it filled up, but
after about a week or so, it failed on me. I did a test on my Pc so I know it wasn't my console not detecting it. I did see some reviews saying it was tending to have a high fail rate.

So I sent it back to Amazon and decided to get the Seagate STGX1000400 Portable 2TB External Hard Drive. About a couple of days after use, my xbox no longer detects it, but with this one,
my pc detects it just fine after a format, I'm just not sure what it is about my xbox and external hard drives?
Any comments or advice would be appreciated

    :)

    Xbox 360 slim corrupting files?

    Hi,

Simple answer, your hard drive is failing. Fix? Buy a new hard drive or use an external hard drive. The Xbox 360 supports external hard drives up to 2 TB.

Hard drives die and before they do, they generally exhibit, disk read errors, corrupted files none working games. Hard disk drives are mechanical with moving parts, its it not if they fail its a matter of when.
