    External Hard-drive seems to have wiped itself


    Hi

    My son has just gone to use his Xbox and his hard drive (Seagate 8tb) is empty and all his games are gone. We've done all the unplug/replug, turn on and off, reboot sort of things and everything is still gone.

    Anyone got any ideas why this should happen and/or if there is a way to get the games back on there.

    Any help would be welcomed

    I have it installed on a external hard drive is there a way I could just wipe that instead of the whole Xbox?

    If you have an external hard drive could you try deleting a game and installing it directly to the console's hard drive to rule out issues with the external drive itself?
