Same problem here. My Seagate external hard drive blinks for about 5 seconds and then just stops then I get the 'we see your external storage, but the connection is too weak to use' error. It does this on two different xbox ones. Ive swapped out ports, unplugged
everything, restarted the console. The hard drive works just fine and the blue light stays on when I plug it into my pc. Any solutions here?? and yes my external hard drive plugs into the wall and has a cord that plugs into the usb port.

Is the hard drive on and making the usual sounds it does when it loads? Is the Led blinking? Could be a dodgy hard drive. I used to have issues with Seagate hard drives before and from personal experience they are unreliable and poor quality. Do you have
a spare external hard drive lying around? Plug that one in and see if it works. It will rule out whether it is a hard drive issue or an Xbox issue.

Ive got a logitech g920 do you think it can be related to whats going on ?

Should i plug it only when i want to play with it ?

Cause except a 8T external hard drive my wheel is the only thing connected

Also my hard drive is an official seagate i think teh brand but its the official xbox hard drive brand

So my xbox one updated yesterday and since then my external seagate hard drive is no longer connecting to my xbox. No error message or anything, just shows what is downloaded on the internal hard drive. I have tried every trick involving full console
restarts, unplugging and plugging everything back in, changing around which usb-3 port i'm using and trying a different usb-3 cable. Nothing is working. The blue light on the seagate is blinking which means that it's functioning normally, just the xbox isn't
recognizing it. I haven't touched or done anything to the hard drive, cables, or xbox prior to yesterday. The problem started after the update. Anybody else having this issue?
