External Hard Drive knocks WiFi connection off

We have an external hard drive that we are trying to use with our Xbox One S as we are running out of disc space, however every time I connect the external hard drive the wireless connection is lost and will not reconnect. I have tried every port.

I have also connected the drive to our other Xbox One S with no issues so I know there is no problem with the drive (it is formatted for Xbox) or cable.

The Xbox was purchased last October as a Christmas present so we would like to get this sorted. Thanks in advance.

    :)

the game couldnt start try downloading it game again GTA SA

Original Xbox games that are on the backwards compatibility list will only work with original Xbox 360 hard drives from Microsoft. That's how it's been forever, you cannot run these games on knock off/fake hard drives, or even your own hard drives. They
will also not run on USB Flash Drives, or external hard drives.

    Network no longer works

Here is a relevant note from the known issues summary, I hope you find it useful

    Wireless Networking:

You may encounter a “wireless network hardware on this console is not working” error when connecting to Xbox Live with a wireless connection.

Your Xbox One console may be unable to detect a wireless connection while an external hard drive is plugged in. Workaround: Unplug the external hard drive, hard reset the console, connect to WiFi, then connect the external hard driv

    Xbox 360 storage

You can add an external USB hard drive or flash drive for storage, or you'd want to look for a 360 hard drive. If it's the latter, you'll want to try to make sure it's brand new and not from a third party like ebay. Those tend to be knock offs.

    E 69 harddrive error

E69: Hard Drive Error. It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive.

Was the HDD an offical MS drive of a knock off?

But most likely your going to have to start over.

Neither download nor disk will play on xbox 360

Is the hard drive you purchased an official Xbox hard drive or just an external hard drive or purchased from a 3rd party?

In order for backwards compatibility to work on the 360 you have to use an official Xbox hard drive due to the system files on the drive required to run the games, not just the space. 3rd party drives can typically be knock offs and won't have the files
    needed.
