    i recently got a maxone 500 GB external hard drive which is compatible with xbox one, but every time i plug it into the USB ports in the back, my xbox is immediately disconnected from the internet and when unplugged it immediately reconnects. When i plug
    it into the USB port on the side of the console, the problem is not as bad but, the internet still comes and goes, which makes it really difficult to play anything that requires connection to the internet.(pretty much every game) some help on how to fix this
    problem would be really appreciated.

    External hard drive upgrading to Xbox one s

    I have about 1.5 TB of games on my external hard drive. I'm thinking of upgrading from my launch Xbox one to an Xbox one s. If I plug my external hard drive into the Xbox one s, will it make me reformat the hard drive and redownload my games? I have metered
    internet so I really can't afford to lose that much software.

    Xbox 360 Slim 4GB memory with 250GB Hard Drive Freezing Problems

    It still happenes, I'm disconnected from the internet. Like I said, I can't clear my cache. Everytime I press A on Storage in System settings, a loading logo pops up, it keeps loading for a while than freezes. I can't access my Hard Drive or Memory unit.

    Do not uninstall from the external hard drive, just disconnect from your console. When finished resetting, do a fresh install right into your console's internal memory. Keep the external hard drive disconnected.

    You simply need to plug the external hard drive with the Xbox One games on it into the new console, then you can play games from the external hard drive, or transfer them from the external hard drive to the internal hard drive. You may need to update some
    or all of the games, which will require the internet. But you don't need to re-download the whole game.

    It is possible the hard drive may be failing. I would try to format it once before jumping to that conclusion.

    Games not installing

    Remove the disc from the console, Turn off your console, disconnect your external hard drive and turn the console back on with the external drive still disconnected. Once the it has fully booted to the Home screen, you can connect your external drive again and then try running the disc
