    External hard drive faded away


    Hello all, i have a problem i can't solve right now.

    I have all my games on my external hard drive (more space), and i could play without any problems. But today, i couldn't play, i searched, and i found that my hd was no more recognized. I checked it, and the problem is not from it.

    I tried every solution, but impossible to find it on my xbox.

    Any idea ?

    We understand that you're experiencing an issue involving the external hard drive not being detected on your Xbox One console.

    If the steps within the troubleshooting have not assisted, it is recommended but not always suggested to try reformatting the external hard drive, which can be done by plugging into a PC device.

    If the external is not recognized on a PC then the hard drive itself may need to be replaced.

    Nothing changed, that's why i'm confused.

    I tried all, but it's not good.

    But i have one change: when i disconnect my drive (not recognized anyway), an extern appears, with 0/930.8GO free. It disapears if i connect my external drive.

    I'll try with a friend's xbox and ext driver to see wich one is the problem (hope not both).

    My PC recognize it, so i guess it's ok. And i tried all ports from xbox, nothing change.

    The big question is: why does it happen suddenly without any change ?

    I checked it, and the problem is not from it.
    How did you check that the problem is not with the drive itself? Did you try connecting to your PC to see if it's recognized? Also, try connecting to different ports on the Xbox.

    Any other info you can provide?, ocasionally some sectors of the hard drive get damaged if you don't turn off the drive properly, any of that happened?
