external blu-ray player

Hello There,

I am wondering if it works, connect an external blu-ray player connected to a xbox one S digital edition, then put xbox blu-ray disc on blu-ray player and play on xbox one s console.

let me guess you have either drive failure or the digital only console.

it wont work, you cannot just add an external bd player.

No I would expect a blu ray player to play DVDs as good as a standalone DVD player. Blu Ray players don't magically improve DVDs. The problem would appear to be that the One blu Ray player doesn't perform well when playing DVDs in comparison to other
Blu Ray players.

No, right now you can't attach and use any external DVD/Blu-ray Player.

The Xbox One S have a Internal DVD/Blu-ray Player. If you have the Xbox One S All Digital you won't have a option ti use Disc only digital media.

Try going to settings, devices and connections, blu ray, then clear persistent storage. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the blu ray app. If you have an external hard drive make sure the blu ray app is installed to the internal hard drive.

IMHO a stand alone Blu-Ray player is always going to do a better job of playing Blu-Rays than a console. As you already own the 3D Blu-ray player what's the issue?
