Expired Warranty on newly, (in box/sealed), Pulse Red Xbox Wireless Controller?

Is there a way to update the warranty of an Xbox Wireless Controller?

I JUST bought this Pulse Red one, (In box, sealed), from a local store, but after adding it to my Devices in my MSFT Account, it says the warranty expired November 5th 2021.

I know MSFT only gives you 5 months of warranty on their Controllers (with a known Controller Drift issue), but it's 5 months I don't have,, and the last Xbox Wireless Controller Shock Blue Controller I bought lasted a total of 4 of those months before the Drift issue reared it's ugly head, but I completely forgot about the warranty period and let it lapse. (That controller is now e-waste, on Display with my many other Xbox Wireless Controllers that have died because of Drift.)

(I found an 'Update your warranty with Proof of Purchase' for other products, but nothing on Xbox Wireless Controllers)

Usually to update your controller warranty the process is the same.

You may need to reach Microsoft, then share the controller serial number and your receipt

If everything looks good, they're going to update it for you

Thanks, that narrows things down (to not buy the Xbox 360 wireless coz' it only comes with a legit controller) and it's nice to know Microsoft is coming with what seems to be a replacement for that Elite controller (we wish all controllers had that quality for the same price bundled with the units at launch

)

Curious- does Xbox 360 wireless use the Xbox wireless connector for the Xbox 360 to Series units how does the 360 connect?

By the way which of the Xbox controllers are genuine or fake (always looking for the counsel/advise/recommendations of many), especially the Red Pulse variant.

As you know, you are not alone. XBox controllers are faulty. I have a blue and pulse red and they both experienced drift in the same time frame. Sad part is the white that came with my original xbox one works much better. I have cleaned (wasn’t dirty) and updated with no luck. There is a reason their warranty is short lived.

Yep, it is the original packaging with manual, warranty. I tried two different adapters, both boxed and sealed, same issue. The only thing left is to try a different controller, unfortunately it is not possible for me to try it without having to buying it out right. I do not know anyone with an xbox system.
