Expired subscription codes

Sorry, but it is not possible to extend the expiration date of subscription codes.

Hi, in general, you can redeem another Xbox Live Gold code while your current subscription is active, and it will extend your subscription by the number of months for the code- in other words, if your current subscription expires at the end of December 2018
and you redeem a 12-month code, your subscription would then expire at the end of December 2019. There are a couple potential constraints that might apply, so I'll list them just in case:

-You can't redeem a trial code for Xbox Live Gold while you have a current subscription. You could redeem a trial code if your current subscription expires.

-You can stack up to three years of Xbox Live Gold on one account- you might run into an error if you try to redeem something and it would push the expiration date beyond three years from today. You can check the current expiration date of your subscription

I had same code...I just chatted with support they said:

The only reason that your code is not redeeming to your account is because you are on an active paid subscription and there is a bit of a known issue with stacking paid subscriptions and pre-paid subscriptions together. 9:44 am

Your current subscription expires on December 8, 2016, and once expired, you can then redeem your pre-paid code without any issues!

This tends to happen mostly when you have a paid subscription and turn off auto-renew and then try and redeem the code. For some reason, with auto-renew off, it blocks codes in the system. Once your current subscription expires, you can
redeem the code without any issues.
