Experience "Stealers"

Don't know if there's a topic for this, and since I'm at work I don't have the time to search...

I just rented this on Saturday (try before you buy with this sort of game), and I'm not going to bash or hate on it...yet. I do have a lot of things that bug me about it, but it's still quite enjoyable. Here is my question...

Has anybody else noticed that you're about to head into some area, there are tons of baddies, and all of a sudden you'll see a fireteam come in of lvl 20+ characters and completely destroy everything in front of you? You basically get to walk around the
map with nothing to shoot because this other team killed everything on their way in, thus making it so you lose out on the experience you would have gained had you been able to clear out the areas.

I've noticed this a few times and it drives me crazy a little.

Also, I have yet to find anybody close to my level on any of the missions I am on...thus not being able to join a fireteam. I'm only a lvl 11 so maybe that is why? Is it better to hang out at the tower and try to group up first before going to the mission
area?

Experience trying to "Unsubscribe".

Just felt like venting because Microsoft have effectively conned me out of money.



So basically, almost a year and a half ago my 360 got the RROD for the 4th time, after sending back 3 and getting replacements over the course of 6 months.

I decided to then cancel my subscription (Yearly) and i turned to PC gaming and since then my 360 has been sat at the foot of my bed.



Anyway, when i chose to unsubscribe i called up like you have to and went through the motions.

I was informed that my yearly subscription was now gone and my account was "Disabled". (Informed that my remaining 9 months was "Forfeit")

I then was informed by email 2 weeks ago that my subscription was due for "Renewal" today.



The Credit Card i used before for the 1 year has now been gotten rid off.

I called up 3 days ago, quite annoyed and specifically asked why an account i had disabled had been reenabled and subscription replaced back on there after being informed by the woman on the phone that the last "Activity" on my account had been midway through
2010. Showing that the account in question hadn't been logged back on by me AT ALL in the last 18 months which basically meant for some reason Microsoft had reenabled my account.



So when i called up 3 days ago, i was quite insistent and informed her, as she could see from my activity that i had not requested any additional game time nor needed it as i did not use the service anymore and asked that once again, my account be disabled
and taken off the system along with the credit cards which should have already been dealt with.

She informed me there and then, 3 days ago, that my account was now disabled completely and that the credit cards were off the system and i would NOT be getting a renewal subscription.

So, checking my debit card balance today and saw on my statement a payment of £40 to Microsoft?

So i called up once again a few hours ago after i got home from work and was informed that my account had been reenabled at 11.59PM 16/01/2012. REALLY?

Microsoft, Reenabling an account a minute before a subscription for a disabled account is due? And to add insult to injury, i was informed that because the credit card details used prior for the subscription couldnt be found (At least she deleted those)
a DEBIT card had been substituted in that had bought MS Points almost 2 YEARS ago to pay for it.

Im sorry, why couldnt you just not renew the subscription or better yet, LEAVE THE ACCOUNT Disabled.

How many times do i have to ask for the account to be disabled before it actually is, completely. With no "Reenable" at a later date.



And yes, i know the whole unsubscribing from your account on here.

The problem with that, was that i wasnt sure of the Live Account i used so didnt know the email address or password. After an hour tonight i finally figured it out after resetting passwords 6 times on 5 different emails.

I felt that i would just vent my anger on here. The worst part about this, is apparently im not the only case as my best mates account keeps getting resubscribed every month even though he has logged onto the site and removed all credit card details from
his account. Yet neither me nor him can get any straight answers on the phone from the support as i, twice tonight, got hung up on when questioning the telephone support member.



Has anyone else had problems like this?

Not exactly the problems XoX Sunshine had but I've had loads of problems with renewal services, LIVE and other services. So many I can't think of what they all were exactly. It's not the cables on the Xenons, they weren't properly qualified to be sold
as a consumer item. I broke three or four before I decided not to buy another, before the slim came out.

 

I haven't noticed this at all. the respawn time is ridiculously fast in most of destiny. The only place that doesn't have enemies popping back up seconds after you kill them is on Earth in the Stepps plane graveyard
but they still spawn plenty fast enough to always have something to shoot. I have never once been able to walk from one side of the map to the other with out having to defend myself. As for matchmaking in for your missions most of the story missions are done
solo you can invite your friends but other then that it won't match you with anyone unless you are doing one of the strikes if your doing a strike the game will pair you with two other players that are either the same level or close to your level they may
be 2 levels lower or 2 levels higher just depends what levels are on.

 

If someone is right ahead of you wiping out everyone just hang back a bit, like Bullets said the respawn timers are pretty short. I had the same experience in the beta once but haven't had it happen again in the full game. That was one of my few complaints
afther the beta, having nothing to kill when coming right behind another group.

 

Ah, didn't know they respawned so quickly lol. I would just follow these guys thinking "***, I'm not getting any XP for this!"

Next time I'll try and look at the scenery a bit after they wiped everything out. Thanks for the help!

 

Renzo, in most places on Earth a drop ship will fly over and drop off new baddies pretty quick as people have mentioned before.

On a side note, if you can hit the bad guys at least once you get exp and loot drops when they die
