    "Expect a call in 1 minute"


    Patrol Tech controller is quickly falling apart with button presses not registering and now a piece of plastic swimming about inside the controller.

    Tried to register it online to start a replacement service and all links take me to Xbox One console registration.

    I try to enter serial number from controller and thats not recognised.

    Ask for a call back which states the title, but call hasnt happened.

    Called Xbox support to get the ball running was turned away by a 2 1/2 hour expected wait time.

    Thanks Vibroplex. I did as you suggested and was excited to see my estimated wait time was less than 1 minute... still haven't recieved a call back. I'm going to be optomistic and guess that the particular agent I need to talk to wasn't around so they
    decided to hold off or was in the can for longer than he expected. I'll give it till Monday and try again.

    To do a controller repair please first register your console's serial number and then start a service order and select the controller.

    Hello!

    If you've had the less than 90 days you would be able to get it replaced under warranty. If you're unable to register the controller, the only option would be to contact Xbox support directly. If the option for request a call back is working, you could
    also try doing a chat with support. If neither of those options are working It may also be worth while to try doing the same thing on a different computer.

    What Microsoft fail to understand is that some people buy controllers for their gaming PC and dont have a console.

    I know, what are the chances?!

    Doesn't apply to my region (we have different warranty laws).

    Furthermore, i contacted their support and got a very strange response. First, someone called back eventually barely able to talk English, and informed me that he needed the console registration. As stated i dont have one.

    Then i received another call. This person couldnt understand me say "someone has already called me" and thought i said "you shouldnt call me" at which point she became aggressive and sarcastic, as i laughed in complete confusion.

    Thirdly, an online support said my controller was third party (patrol tech special edition) and wanted photos of proof...

    What on earth is wrong with you Microsoft?

    NO YOU CANT SUBMIT THE SERIAL NUMBER.

    It doesnt work, and then asks for console registration. The whole system is broken and ridiculous.

    As shown on
    xbox.com/microsoft store
    Patrol Tech controller is something we can support.

    If the control is within the 90 day warranty we are able to support the device, but if there is no console to register the control. We would need the Proof of purchase since it would not be registered in the system for the activation day.

    Though it all depends on where the control was purchased. Example As stated: "Doesn't apply to my region (we have different warranty laws)". If the control was bought at a local store, then it's best to go to the local store and go based on the warranty
    they provided.

    I recommend if there is no console to register the control with to either use a friends console and temporally register it to the account

    Register Device
    , or to contact a live agent to see how they may assist. Contact us (Proof of purchase needed)

    [If there was a console already register with the control they would see the warranty information (since the control was used on it) and wouldn't need Proof of purchase]
