    Exit Code: -1073740791 fix for Minecraft


    So I felt like hopping on some minecraft today after playing it a bit yesterday.

    Then I open up the launcher, press play and what do you know, exit code -1073740791 shows up

    I did what it said, that didn't work. Look for other solutions, thoes didn't work either.

    So I just need some help with this so I can hop back on minecraft.

    So, if you use Minecraft Java 1.18 or anything less than 1.19 it works and loads fine, right?

    If you want I can share another five more things to try, in that way you're going to cover basically everything from your side:

    1. Open Task Manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there. Restart your PC and give it a new try

    2. Create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there:

    3. Run the SFC tool to find and repair possible system corruptions

    4. Perform an in-place upgrade for your system)don't worry your content will remain)

    This error is related to an issue with an specific version for Nvidia graphics driver:

    May I know if you already tried updating your graphics card driver via manufacturer site?

    And, what hardware specs your PC has?

    Do you know if your computer has two graphics cards? (Dedicated and integrated)

    If you don't know, let's try this:

    Open Windows Settings > Display > Graphics
    Once there under "add an app" select "Microsoft store app" > click on Browse > select Minecraft launcher (or everything related to Minecraft)

    Once you add it, click on it > options > power saving > click on Save. Restart your PC and give it a new try.

    **if that doesn't work, use instead High performance

    By the way, may I know if you tried downloading and installed the launcher for windows 7/8.1?

    I tried high performance and power saving and both didn't work. I have installed the launcher for windows 10/11 but not windows 7/8.1. Do I need the windows 7/8.1 launcher considering my PC is running on Windows 11?
