    I currently have Gold paid through October. If I want to upgrade to Game Pass, will I receive any credit for the months of Gold I've paid for, or is that just a waste?

    If you buy Game Pass Ultimate before your Gold ends, your remaining Gold will be converted to Ultimate. So for example, you have about 3 months left, and if you buy 1 month of Ultimate, you'll have 4 months of Ultimate.

    Game Pass would have converted your existing Gold membership to the Game Pass ratio. When you let it expire, you also let you gold subscription go as well. The best case would be to purchase another subscription plan.
