    Exenteral Hard drive repair


    I have an xbox seagate halo master chief spartan 117 hard drive. That does not detect on the xbox slim and xbox series x. I tried to reassign a volume letter on a computer but the connection goes and comes on a computer. On the xbox it detects it once and asks "for media" or "gaming"

    After I choose, I never see the hard drive again. Is there anyway I can send it in for repairs?

    Hard Drive 250G HDD not recognized

    There could be 1 of 2 things wrong. Your console may need to be repaired or the hard drive is bad. To find out please take your hard drive to a console in which you know their hard drive works. If your hard drive is showing only format issue it is the
    hard drive. If, when you plug it in, it shows up fine and you can get in then your console needs to be repaired.

    Hi, how recently did you purchase the console and did you purchase the hard drive separately as it sounds like its the hard drive that needs to be repaired if the hard drive came inside the console when you purchased it. You can get that done by simply visiting
    the repair site here.

    support.xbox.com/.../repair-process

    If the hard drive was purchased separately from the console then the hard drive should have a 90 day warranty, if it's within that 90 days you should be able to get it repaired for free. If it's been longer than 90 days you'd need to get a new hard drive.

    If you do sent it off to get repaired you could all ways use a USB drive which can be formatted by using the 360 it's self and use that for things such as game saves while you wait, hope this helped
