    Everytime i clip, despite the mic being on it still mutes it and recording starts muted too


    I dont know i have tried every possible solution i could think of but it still muted, change the default device, nothing still

    Headset: Can hear friends, but mic won't detect my voice. Tried 2 headsets. Kinect mic works!

    Also, if I record a voice message, Xbox says no mic detected; check to see if your mic is muted.

    It's NOT muted!

    Hello, depending on the game certain sounds are going to be muted as well once you start a clip recording.

    Some developers implement such restrictions, so it's not a problem at all with your console or the recording

    the record feature *has* been working, it records everything except my mic when I alt+tab or "Tab out" in where I have to mute and unmute for it to registed my mic again.

    I mute my mic,only speak to someone when it's useful....

    When someone talks too much (voice commands,about their life,...) i mute their mics.

    But it did happen just a few times.

    xbox game bar not picking up audio from microphone

    I don't have any other microphones to test with unfortunately, I'm using the mic on my headset. Reinstalling the game bar made no difference either.

    I checked through the capture settings and it only seems to mute me when the "audio to record" is set to "all" ( i.e game audio, microphone, all other apps ), but not when it's set to "game" ( game audio + mic ). But the issue with this setting is that I want my discord calls / party members to be heard in the clips and recordings too. So I'm very much at a loss :(
