Something that we'd like you to try is the following: if you have problems in career mode when pressing advance and crashing back to the dashboard

From the menu. go to the Practice tile

Navigate, with the RS, to Select Arena Player

Change the current player to a different one

THIS WORKS I had tried all other ideas I can now play in career mode no problems really odd , found the solution on the EA Forums, seems odd but it works shame EA cant mention this in any help section

This sounds ridiculous but it worked for me. My download copy of FIFA 14 was crashing after my first career game (on 4 separate attempts), now I can get beat game after game

Just give me some more licensed & generic stadia, MLS commentators for an MLS career mode playthrough, single-player Virtual Pro like every other FIFA before this one and gameplay more similar to past FIFA's than this one.

Expanding, this is from the T&Cs:

So, the DLC content won't be accessible until the 27th (when the 3 days early access starts) because you won't be able to create a Career Mode save till that point. Some games don't show DLC until Day 1

Not true, i completed my first year today and i only got offers of a manager role, even at my current club. My VP then disappeared from my squad.

Now i try to start a brand new career and i can not get my pro in to career mode, this game sucks.

You should be able to manually check for squad updates from within the game menu. I am unsure of its exact location in FIFA 14, but it's usually found somewhere under My FIFA, FIFA Online or something similar.

Checking for the squad update should mean it will then update and you should not see this error anymore.
