    Everything Taking a Very Long Time/Not Loading At All After 2005 Update (Skip Ahead)


    After taking today's 2005 system update for Skip Ahead build, everything is taking a very long time to load or won't load at all like, apps, games, the guide itself, etc. Even after a hard reset (hold power button for 10-15 seconds, unplug the cable for about a minute then plug back in and turn on), everything takes a long time to load or as I said before won't launch at all. I've also gotten this error code twice now from trying to open various things. Error code is (0x80040900). Tells me to do a hard reset even though I already did that. I want to report this but not sure under what category to report it under... Anyone else having this issue?

    Update: Just filed a report on the Xbox under guide performance since part of the issue is the guide but hopefully accommodates the other issues. Again I'm on the latest 2005 Skip Ahead build on Xbox One X.

    I just launched ESPN to see if I would have the same issue. It does take a little more time than it used to, but I didn't wait more then 1 minute. There is a lot more content to deal with now than when ESPN first came out.

    If this poor startup time is related to the expanded content of ESPN as opposed to when it was initially launched, then I call this a terrible design (something I haven't experienced much from Microsoft). A simple load-on-demand approach can alleviate the
    heavy load of the startup delay. Another thing Microsoft should consider is giving the user the option to NOT load a video when starting up. This could be the biggest reason for the delay. Not loading video on startup would at least isolate the cause of the
    delay. I've stopped using the ESPN app on XBOX360 because of this issue and I just go use ESPN3's site on my computer. I hope they resolve this issue soon.

    How long is it taking? I ask only because the levels take a VERY long time to load for some reason, so I am wondering if it is actually a case of a long load time appearing to be a not loading issue.

    I don't know why it's taking that long to load as with me it takes far less time (Although I have the hard copy), but it's better than it doing the DL glitch (Reach... why you 40%-0 me on missions? this happened on a cracked but still playable disc as the
    data film was intact, but I have another disc now)
