Every update fails like this how do I report or find out what the error code means?

I'm not sure what this error code means, all I can say is ask support to find out what to do about this error.

When I turn on my system, with or without network connected, it goes straight to the update. I get no dashboard. No startup image. Nothing. Every startup goes straight to the update and the update fails. It fails with error 3151-335a-b380-0502-c000-0221.
Support tells me this code means I need repair. However, I only get this code when it tries to load the update. The update is all my Xbox will do.

In xbox.com there is a error code search. Put in your code and it will explain what it means then follow the instructions and see if that helps any. Also find out what all the codes you are getting. Does the light on your xbox flash? Depending on the blinks
your hard drive could be failing.

@OP, what you should do is call support and find out what that particular error code means and what has to be done to resolve the issue.

for any error code that starts with 3151 it may mean that your console is looking for but can't find a previous version of the update that you're trying to download.

If all fail then the only option left is to set up a repair request for the console like mentioned on that same link.
