    turns out my laptop had a virus.

    Can't login to my microsoft account through microsoft apps

    Hi Josef, I'm using Windows 10 and I am able to sign in using that link. I tried logging in with every alias but every time it either says the profile doesn't exist and if I click any of the provided options from there it says it does exist and breaks if I try proceed from there. Once I exit out of the new broken window it says something went wrong with the login process.

    When I use a username, it successfully recognises the account and asks for a one time password that when input returns an error saying I'm not connected to the internet and it continues to say I'm not connected to the internet for every subsequent login attempt.

    Logging in via a browser has worked every time with all aliases with no issues, I am also able to log into microsoft apps on my phone like the xbox app or on my xbox, its just on my laptop that it doesn't work

    Cannot log in to xbox/microsoft acct from another device

    So, I figured it out ...

    When logging in to the XBox app on the family laptop, it did the following:

    Asked for MY XBox/Microsoft login (not associated with laptop)

    Asked for MY password (not associated with laptop)

    Asked for PIN (which I assumed was MY PIN, since it's MY account)

    On a whim, we tried using my child's PIN who was logged into Windows on the Laptop.

    It worked.

    IMHO, this is a horrible system. Why would an app ask for login information multiple times for 1 person associated with an APP, but have the last item needed be the login info for a 1 person associated with a OS, and then NOT tell you what it's actually asking for? Who in their right mind would assume that after TWO prompts for info that it would be a THIRD prompt for somebody ELSE?

    Ridiculous.

    I can't access my account

    every device that i have that was login on my account was kicked off but on my laptop it still says my personal email and when i'm on the login screen for my Xbox even when i search my username it still come up but when i go to login and the please enter your password screen come up it say the email that took my account

    Same issue here. Login in on new laptop with logins I was using on my old one. While Solitaire and Mahjong work just fine, Sudoko simply can't sign me in. It says to sign on livebox.com and restart app - but to no avail.
