    Every time i change batteries my controller doesnt connect


    So basically, every time i change batteries in my xbox controller the controller wint connect untill i restart console manually(push button untill it turns off then im able to connect) its on xbox series x and im using controller that was included(new xbox series controller) anyone know what to do to fix it?

    Xbox Latest Firmware Controller 4.8.1923.0 Issue

    It works well. The only thing that doesnt work after updating the firmware is the xbox charger. The usb connection is on, but the cable doesnt show up the orange led to charge the battery.

    I tried every way and found with the new controller that i bought the reason.

    new controller: version 3.2 if i remember . Working well

    new controller with new firmware: 4.8

    Not charging anymore.

    I'm not having ant audio issues but I'am having some connection issues as well as having to power cycle & reconnect the controller every time i use my turtle beach headset so that the play & charge kit will charge the battery.

    Tried updating loads of times, no change.

    Controller will not stay connected

    I just got my one and my controller isn't connecting at all. I tried resyncing it, changed the batteries three times and still nothing works. I had to hold down the home button the entire time I was setting it up for it to even work.

    Like other posters I've noticed that AA batteries don't fit snug on the controller. Each time I've taken the backing off the controller the batteries will slip out.

    Sounds like it has a bqd vonnection inside the batter pack, or inside the controller reading the batteries, id suggest changing the battery pack/batteries first, if that doesnt work id suggest trying another controller.

    The controller update bricked my controller.

    Thank you this worked for me as well. I tried a few times and it didnt work, but make sure there is no batteries in the controller before you connect via usb. I think that may have been my issues.

    Also, do a hard restart of the console, make sure the batteries are out. Connect via usb and wait 10 seconds. If the controller doesnt light up try using a second working controller and go into settings >devices and then unplug and reconnect the controller.
    Then it might come up. It did for me.
