    Every single game based on Unreal Engine HARD CRASHES Xbox Series X.


    I have a weird problem here. My console cant chew games based on Unreal Engine. Every single one generates crashes.

    Basically I get 3 types of crashes:


    1. Game starts, and crashes on title screen (Gears 5), can't get past


    2. Game starts, saves, but when I get back to the title and hit continue, it crashes, and from now on its unplayable (Call of the sea - i can continue, but when I join the game thera are graphical artefacts and it crashes)


    3. Games starts, plays, but crashes after a while (Tetris effect)

    Symptoms are as follows:


    1. Game crashes and drops back to dashboard - most cases


    2. Game crashes everything freezes, sound buzzes and console also crashes after few seconds, 5 up 10 ten. Drops back to dash.


    3. Game crashes instantly and console turns off, leaving controller turned on unresponsive. Have to restart console, or take the batteries out.


    4. Game plays for a while (Hellblade very few times was playable), but when I hit guide button, share button it crashes instantly turning off the console. Also Call of the sea behaves like that.

    I did a list of games that works/crash. Every crashing game is based on Unreal Engine, and only those crash. Others on Unity, Frostbite etc, works without any issues.

    Gears 5 - Unreal engine - CRASHES.

    Call of the sea - Unreal engine - CRASHES.

    Sea of thives - Unreal engine - CRASHES.

    Hellblade - Unreal engine - CRASHES.

    Battlefield 1 - Frostbite engine - WORKS.

    Unravel - Phyre engine - WORKS.

    Unravel 2 - PhyreEngine - WORKS.

    Forza Horizon 4 - Forzatech - WORKS.

    Doom Eternal - Idtech - WORKS.

    Tetris effect - Unreal engine - CRASHES.

    Fifa 21 - Frostbite - WORKS.

    Ace combat 7 - Unreal engine - CRASHES.

    Star Wars fallen order - Unreal engine - CRASHES.

    Talos principle - Crytech engine - WORKS.

    Asetto corsa - Unity - WORKS.

    Ori and the will - Unity - WORKS.

    Ori blind forest - Unity - WORKS.

    Control - Northlight engine - WORKS.

    Dirt 4 - Ego engine - WORKS.

    Halo 4 - Bungie proprietary engine - WORKS.

    Lonely mountains downhill - Unity - WORKS.

    Minecraft - Java - WORKS.

    Morkreedd - Unity? - WORKS.

    Nier automata - Proprietary - WORKS.

    Grounded - Unreal engine - CRASHES.

    Observation - Unity - WORKS.

    Quantum break - Northlight engine - WORKS.

    Sea of solitude - Unity - WORKS.

    Sniper elite 4 - asura engine - WORKS.



    I did every solution found, such turning off hdr, alternate mac, new hdmi cable, 720p,1080p,4k, other TV, monitor, hdmi-cec off, etc.

    It crashes my console on public, omega and delta also. No difference.

    Console was even in service, but they said it works fine, no repair made. Didn't check those games at all.

    Do anyone have any solution?

    Ummm sapparently you never played any series x games have you?

    Very few games don't use unity or unreal

    But unity is dated compared to frostbite or unreal not sure why you want to use a non optimized engine you typically want to use optimized engines

    To take advantage of hardware

    A LOT OF new games use the latest unreal engine

No I haven't made my xbox series x my home system no and I don't want it to be my home system I play on my xbox one x much more then my series x it's new ... plus I am online so playing the demo shouldn't be a problem honestly I shouldn't have to be connected to the internet to play the things I own ..... 3. Then get epic to stop worshipping fortnite and maybe fix the stuff that needs to be fixed also this is a very bad look for unreal engine honestly for something that was suppose to be showing you the power of the xbox series x and unreal engine doesn't really impress at all the game starts it just doesn't enter the game world like I said for something that's suppose to be showing off it doesn't really impress maybe tell that to unreal maybe they will fix it

    Xbox Series X issues with Unreal Engine

    My Xbox series s has been having from the same problem and from what I’ve seen there’s really no fix for it. I would send it in for repair as soon as you can because it doesn’t seem like a fix for this issue is coming as it’s been present since the consoles release. The only games that crashed my Xbox were fortnite and the matrix demo, the only 2 unreal engine games I own and I’ve seen others only experiencing problems with titles specifically using unreal game engine.

    The surface is a full blown gaming system. I wouldn't be surprised if games are released on it based on Unreal Engine 3
