    European PAL 220V Black Xbox Series X


    Does a European PAL 220V Black Xbox Series work in the United States?

    I want to buy an Xbox Series X and they are sold out everywhere. I have found an Xbox on a website with this in size choice: European PAL 220V Black. Does that mean that the plug is different? and if so could i buy an adapter for it?

    I don't know how it is in the US but I can play NTSC games on my german PAL console. You just need a TV that can show both frequencies ! PAL games are a bit slower than NTSC games.
    You've not been keeping up with technology. For Xbox One and Series X/S there are no PAL and NTSC formats. There no longer any PAL and NTSC frequencies either, certainly not over HDMI.
    Also the Xbox One and the Series X/S are region free in terms of disc games.

    PAL and NTSC are old analogue formats from the standard definition era. They no longer exist in the digital era.

    Yes, back in day, NTSC was 60Hz and PAL was 50Hz, at least that was until the early late 90's and early 00's when European TV's adopted the 'PAL 60' format. Before PAL 60, all European games consoles going back to the earliest machines like the Atari 2600
    ran games slower than their U.S counterparts. That's not the case anymore. European consoles have been able to play 60Hz (and hence 60fps) games since the Xbox 360/PS3 days.

    European TV broadcasts are still at 50Hz, but this has nothing to do with PAL anymore.

    The American (NTSC-U) and the Asian (NTSC-J) of COD: Black Ops is region free. I can't find any information on the European (PAL) version of the game though. You could buy a US version of Black Ops from a US website.
