    ES2 controller paddles not working


    Alright, my Elite controller paddles were working fine for 4/5 months until now. 2 days ago, when i was playing Siege i noticed my paddles weren't being responsive i had to press on them several times before anything happened. Then they stopped working. In the middle. Of the match. And YES i do have the "Xbox accessories" app installed and everything is mapped accordingly. Now my question is, how to i get them to work? There also was an update and it did nothing to fix the issue. I use the paddles everyday on games like Siege, MCC, Undertale, Left4Dead2, i think you get the point. And i'm worried that this issue is a hardware issue and NOT a software one. if its a software issue (I.e games), well that sucks but i cant do anything about it. And if its a controller hardware issue i cant really do anything without opening the controller, thereby either voiding the warranty or screwing up the controller entirely. Neither i want to do because i don't want to wait to get a replacement because i need to stay on top of my game at all times or lose some of my muscle memory. So my main question is. How do i get my paddles to work again?

    Thank you for your response. ES2 controller stands for Elite Series 2 controller, which is a Microsoft product. XCS stands for Xbox Customer Support.

    Hi Sayann,

    I've hard reset the Xbox already and tried the ES2 controller again but no luck. Switched back to my ES1 and the headset works fine. Any other suggestions or do you think this is a hardware fault and a replacement needed?

    Glad you were able to get a new controller. Mine came from Amazon and they are out of stock. It is a simple fix of just needing a new paddle, since they other paddles work in the slot the bent paddle was in, and the bent paddle doesn't work in the other
    slots.

    Xbox Elite 2 controller NOT working with new firmware update

    To be very, very clear, the problem is that the newest firmware updates to Xbox elite 2 controller has broken the functionality of the paddles. As of the latest firmware, the paddles are completely disabled when in default profile. The paddles used to work in default mode, and now they don't. Steam can corroborate this: last year Steam added functionality to customize the outputs of the elite controllers paddles, which means that the paddles used to output a unique signal instead on only emulating other controller buttons.

    A quick internet search reveals numerous accounts from users who had used steam to customize the paddle outputs, proving that the paddles used to work. You can also see a growing number of recent complaints from Elite controller users who are realizing that their paddle inputs are now broken. This is not an isolated occurrence, the elite controller was broken by the latest firmware updates, and people are realizing it.

    The changes made to the Xbox elite 2 Controller paddles in the latest firmware updates NEED TO BE REVERTED.

    I’ve tried all of this my controller and console are all updated. I’ve also tried another console it work but shortly after it stopped working I’ve tried the wire too. It is not the controller the paddles work fine but once I play my game with numbers binded to my paddles it makes my Xbox stop registering my paddles with binded to numbers and letters it only works when binded to buttons
