Error while opening some games

Hi there Diogo welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I suggest you try these basic troubleshooting steps!

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

Then try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

If it still doesn't work you're going to uninstall the games services using a powershell command, then you're going to open the gamepass app, it will ask you to download and install the game services again :

In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

Hi, it doesn't worked yet. I followed all the instructions and the error is the same. I noticed that the error would also happen in Code Vein. With some other games, like Spiritfarer, I could just close the "Install Webview2" tab and proceed to play the game.
I don't know if this will help but the first time the "Install WebView2" tab appeard I closed it during the download. If there is something else I can do please let me know.

Well, I suggest you try this:

Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

Open Accounts

Click Sign-in Options

Scroll down to Privacy

Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

Restart your PC!

I saw you are receiving the error code 0x80070102 now.

Would you please try to run Destiny 2 without your controller plugged in?

Some users got this error fixed by just unplugging their controller while openning the game. If the error still persists, please let me know.

Hi, I downloaded a couple of games & DLC yesterday (Game - FIFE 23 & Fallen order) + DLC for Valhalla. I am not able to start either of them with the common error of 0x80073cf6.. I have uninstall all of them a couple of times & have also changed the download location (external drive & then local drive), however the issue still persists ..

So wanted to check on how this can be resolved ?

Device is Xbox one
