Error when trying to play backwards compatibile call of duty on Xbox Series S

I have tried to get help via webchat but got no where and it seems impossible to request a call back, saying try again later all the time.

I spoke to web chat who said that this issue may be due to a hardware ban on an old Xbox 360 from over a decade ago but heard nothing back.

When i try to load any multiplayer on older call of duty games, Black Ops 2 for example, i get the following error message

"Your membership is suspended until you pay for it. You'll need to do this on another device. On a PC or mobile device, go to https://account.microsoft.com/paynow and fix how you pay for your membership"

I have no suspension history on the enforcement page of the website either. And, this error pops up on the old school xbox 360 menu when trying to access multiplayer.

I have an account set as Home on my console which has Ultimate so I have access to play online too.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction

probably there are a lot of games that are (still) non xbox backwards compatibile with the new series...

He might be the only person reporting this here, but he's so far from alone. I play backwards compatible Call of Duty games with dozens of people, and they all notice and agree that there is significant input lag when playing any of these games.

I can confirm that the issue is present on Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty World at War, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty Black Ops, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, and Call of Duty Black Ops 2. I can confirm that this issue is present on Xbox One and Xbox Series S. These people collectively can confirm the issue is present across Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. Several of them have purchased an Xbox 360 instead to avoid it.

I hope this issue can be passed along and resolved at some point. I can deal with it, but I certainly notice it and find it rather annoying.
