    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

    Can you try going to the family safety page here: Microsoft Family Safety and sign into your account.

    When you have signed into your account, please click onto your son's profile. This will load your son's profile where you can see what family settings are applied. Please can you make sure Apps and games are set to up to age 13. As Minecraft is rated as a 7+, this should allow your son to load Minecraft and play the game.
