    I'm trying to redeem my 12 month Xbox Live Gold Membership, but it keeps giving me an error. The code is valid because it brings me to the are you sure you want to redeem stage, but it brings me to this error:

    XBOS-5002

    I tried contacting Microsoft and he said he will send me an email that tells me he refreshed the code, but he hasn't sent me one and it still doesn't work.

    How do I fix this?

    Remeeming errors can be caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check if your billing information is correct at
    http://billing.microsoft.com and also check
    http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues, these need to be sorted prior to being able to redeem codes.

    After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

    Also check that the Xbox Live account , the console and code all match region (and in some cases Language) wise, using different regions for any of them cause issues too.

    If you can't find anything wrong and it is still not working, best thing to do is to contact official Xbox Support again via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
    Contact Us | Xbox Support they can do a more indepth look into this issue.

    Every christmas i always get 12 month xbox live it was the same this year however ive only used it for about 5 months and suddenly it isnt letting me play online because it says i dont have xbox live. Which i do. i redemed the code at the start
    of 2020. Idk if its a glich or smt but i really dont wanna pay another £60 for something i already had.

    If you had ULTIMATE before redeeming the 12-month Gold Live, these 12-month Gold have been automatically changed to 4-month ULTIMTE expend.

    You canocan a support ticket to explain that so they may give you 8-month Gold Live, just be sure there's not 100% gurentee you will get these.
