    Error message while trying to join an online game


    Trying to play Gears of war 2 through the ultimate game pass. when trying to join an online game, I am getting an error message of "Your gamer profile settings do now allow for online play". I have tried restarting the console several times and checked that my privacy settings allow for multiplayer/online play (they do). Not sure what else to do

    Do you get any error codes while trying to join an online game with NHL20?

    Seeing as you are able to play online with other games i suspect it might be an issue with NHL20.

    This happens to me with the Netflix and hulu app a lot. The fix for me has been to uninstall and reinstall.

    Hi there,

    I'm sorry to hear this game is still not opening up for you.

    At this point if nothing else on this thread has helped you will need to try out a

    soft factory reset    . Make sure to select "keep my games & apps" and have your account login information plus your WIFI password ready because you will need to re-add the account and re-connect to your network.

    Follow that guide completely and let us know if the soft factory reset solves the issue.
