Error Message While Playing GTA: The Trilogy

I am having problems with GTA: The Trilogy. I was in the middle of the game when my screen went blurry and dark, then I got the following message: “Error: Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource, Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running, Exiting…”

I have not changed the resolution on my TV, nor did I have any other applications running besides the game. Why am I getting this message? Have any other players of this game received this message?

Hello,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I am using Microsoft Xbox One S. The only troubleshooting step that I tried was turning the consul off and back on again. Thankfully, my entire progress was saved. My question is why would I be getting that error message, and what can I do to prevent it in the future?

Is this happening on Xbox or PC?
In both cases, please tell me which troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this

Also, in case your console internal storage is 90% or more, move or delete things in order to get more space.

Just in case the low storage is causing the issue with this specific game.

If not, proceed reinstalling the game

No, this is only for GTA: Trilogy.

Usually this error appears when the game is not well optimized for a console.
Sadly this is the case for GTA trilogy, usually power cycling the console helps to prevent the issue:

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Are you receiving this error randomly and only on GTA? Or are you experiencing this on other games?
