Error message "It looks like you don’t own Minecraft for PC/Mac."

Hi,

I purchased the Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition beta version back in November and have been using it just fine ever since. Now I when I login to my account on Minecraft.net in order to add a new skin, I get the error message "It looks like you don’t own Minecraft
for PC/Mac."

I logged a ticket with Minecraft maker's tech support but they responded by saying that all issues related to games purchased through Windows Store must be addressed to Xbox support, so here I am.

What's wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

2 questions about Minecraft realms

realmes seems to have its own subscription services. You don’t need gold to play it especially if from the pc, but you do have to set up this other sub. Asfar as renders, you would have to look at official minecraft fourms and look for updates and suggestions

To change your skin in minecraft windows 10 edition, click your character on the main menu. The website you're trying to use is for the original minecraft for pc, or commonly known as java minecraft. Even though both games are minecraft for pc, they are
totally different products. That explains the error you're receiving; you don't actually own minecraft for pc/mac, you own minecraft for windows 10.

Hi Victor. I don’t know how you played Java in the past. Maybe it was via game pass.
But if the game doesn’t appear purchased in your order history, it means that you don’t know it.

About the Xbox edition, yes. It’s bedrock, but it’s the Bedrock for Xbox, not Windows

The free Java edition was granted to the people who purchased Bedrock for windows.
Any other platform is not eligible, only PC (and the opposite if you owned Java)

I don’t think it’s possible, unless you try looking on the Xbox Gamepass app (if there is one. I don’t own a PC) on the PC.

Because you would need to buy it for that platform. Minecraft is not a Play Anywhere title so you wouldn't get it on PC/Mac just for owning it on Xbox. Even if it was Play Anywhere, you would need to own it digitally.
