Has there been a resolution to this problem? I am experiencing the same. Both players have NAT Open, no error codes. Both players have download of MC for Xbox One. But when either of us start a party and the other tries to join, we get the error message
"Connection Failed. Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to the main menu." MC still works for us on 360.

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting, but I still get the same "Connection Failed: Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to main menu." message. Is this problem due to an update by the Minecraft people? I just tried out Turbo Thunder and it works.
It seems like only Minecraft is affected.

Sorry for the last response. I tried what you said. Everything seems to be good when I test my connection. I then did what you said. After that, I tested my connection and everything is still green. I then joined a minigame and I'm still getting the same error. "Connection failed. Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to the main menu."

I've got exact the same problem, just had an update, now I keep getting the message "connection to server is lost. Exiting to main menu". Anybody know a fix?

Slightly different problem with me. I set up a MSFT & Xbox account for my son. I can play online and join battle mode games under my account, but if we sign-in as his, it says connection failed. My understanding is that Live Gold should apply to anyone
playing on that device, right?

If it is a parental setting, any idea what I need to check?
