I am trying to join with a friend. Both have NAT Open. No errors, everything seems to be working fine, but when either of us try to join the other, we get the following error message: "Connection Failed. Connection to the
server was lost. Exiting to the main menu."

We are able to play together on 360, but not on xbox one.

Anyone have a fix for this?

Minecraft Xbox One Online Multiplayer Broken

2 friends and I have tried to join each other's games and even created new worlds to try and join and every time we get a long load screen followed by "Connection failed Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to the main menu." Clicking "OK" sends
us back to the main menu. Online MP was working fine before the update.

 

Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition: Connection Failed

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting, but I still get the same "Connection Failed: Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to main menu." message. Is this problem due to an update by the Minecraft people? I just tried out Turbo Thunder and it works.
It seems like only Minecraft is affected.

 

my first thought was NAT... but maybe one of you have a parental block on? can you both join a 3rd persons seed?

 

Did you ever figure this out? We are experiencing the same problem. We have open NAT and get the exact same message whether we initiate or try to respond to an invite on Xbox one Minecraft. VERY frustrating!

 

How do I find parental blocks? Maybe I did something there unintentionally?

 

I've got the same problem..but my Xbox will join one friend but won't let me join another is the problem there end if so what do they have to do

 

Your NAT is the problem, even though it says OPEN, its "really" not. heres the fix:

settings>>network settings>> advanced>> alternate mac address>> clear>> allow the system to reset.

BOTH of you have to do this. enjoy.

 

Have the same problem with my friend, I did the last replay about the clear the mac address, both, me and my friend. The problem was not resolved can you help me please, another solution?

another issue is you folks dont have Ecco mode turned on, which means your xbox stays on 24/7.

next time you get on xbox, highlight MC, but hit start. tell it to quit.. (yeah its already on), restart the game, it shoudl work.

 

Can someone help me my son is having problems joining game keeps getting connection fail all the time . He was able to play one time today then tried later and can't connect

 

Same thing here. We were able to connect earlier and now can't reconnect. We've been getting this error and another saying we're not friends with our friend.

 

Slightly different problem with me. I set up a MSFT & Xbox account for my son. I can play online and join battle mode games under my account, but if we sign-in as his, it says connection failed. My understanding is that Live Gold should apply to anyone
playing on that device, right?

If it is a parental setting, any idea what I need to check?
