You may want to try clearing the MAC address too. To do that just go to your network settings, click advanced network settings, alternate MAC address, select clear, then reset. Your console will restart at that point.

Sorry to hear it. Please try powercycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down to see if that helps. If it does not then you may need to do a factory reset on the console.

I would guess that since the Xbox was originally purchased as part of the 2 year gold contract, said Xbox is tied to that original contract. You may be able to get a customer service rep to transfer the original 2 year Xbox contract over to you, but you
will probably have to finish the rest of the contract payments (I know you bought it from someone on eBay, but Microsoft isn't just going to give you their Xbox).

Also, since it has already been a few months it is probably too late to return your Xbox to the seller for a refund (he didn't tell you about an outstanding balance on the 2 year contract after all).

Definitely talk to customer service again and try to take over the original 2 year contract if you don't mind making the payments.

Network, internet & Xbox connected. It also shows all services "up", but still getting same error. This is on just Call of Duty
