Error Message 0x80073D05 and Netflix

For the past 5 days, I’ve tried to open Netflix and the app would just hang without ever loading the “select profile/Who is watching” screen. I uninstalled Netflix and attempted to reinstall. I have attempted the reinstall multiple
times, including after regular restarts and hard reboots. Each time I have received an error of 0x80073D05, typically with the download unable to finish in the last ~1 MB of the app for some reason. My network connection and Xbox Live connections have been
stable throughout.

Nothing on the Xbox Forums have helped and I’d just like to watch Netflix on my TV. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Before I start the reset, should I disconnect my external hard drive where most of my games are installed? Thanks!!!

Method 2: Restart your Xbox One Console and Xbox One
1) Turn off your Xbox One. 2) Unplug the power cable of your Xbox One console, then press and hold the home button on the console for around 5 seconds to discharge it. 3) Wait for around 1 minute. ... 6) Re-launch Netflix in Xbox

Thanks for reaching out here on the Forums for advice on getting back to Netflix. I can definitely understand how this could be disheartening. If you're having all this trouble after reinstalling and hard resetting the console, I suggest trying a soft factory
reset of said console. It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Follow the steps here on How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One , select the
option denoted reset and keep my games & apps and let us know how that helps with the issue.

Afraid that did not work. I tried it both before and after completing a console update as well (console update worked fine).

Also, to be clear, the *installation* of Netflix will not complete. I cannot run the app because the installation always stops with 85.10 MB of 85.96 MB completed and then generates the error message I cited above.

I've been looking into this one and it is very strange as that code, on a PC, indicates a Store issue but not on the Xbox it seems

Also interesting that the code isn't even listed on the Xbox codes page...surely they must have come across it before!!

The upshot of this seems to be a full factory reset may be needed
