Error makes me totally unable to play Xbox games on my PC

Trying to log into my xbox console companion or the xbox app, I get this error: "We couldn't sign you into Xbox Live right now. We can't sign you into xbox live right now. Try again in a while." I am absolutely at a loss, anything I try to google doesnt
work because for some reason this error gives you no error code at all. Just a "few things to help" which is a very shallow google search that helps nothing. I've tried resetting the apps, tried uninstalling and reinstalling, tried replacing the xbox identity
provider, tried changing DNS settings. Nothing works.

If I sign in with another account, it works fine. If I try my main account, it INSTANTLY comes up with this error. It's so instant that I would guess its not even trying to sign in. I can sign into my account fine on xbox.com and use the windows store fine,
its only the xbox apps that have this problem. I'm desperate, please help. I refuse to ring microsoft support and let them remote control my PC, simply because last time I had an error like this they tried to update my windows and then restart my PC, and when
this didnt work, they just disconnected the remote control and never contacted me again.

If ANYONE else has had this problem and somehow fixed it, please tell me how

2 things I would recommend to try is:

•Check to make sure the PC/Laptop is fully up to date

• Check the Microsoft Store and make sure all your apps and downloads are up to date

I've personally had an issue in the past where one or both were not fully up to date and it would not let me sign in

It would be up to Creative Assembly to make or port a Total War game to the Xbox platform, nothing to do with Microsoft. MS can't force anyone to make their games available to other platforms.

The same is true for Blizzard's World of Warcraft.

The Total War games are indeed awesome (I play them on my PC), unfortunately, they are only available on PC for now.

Isto e inaceitavel... nossa! Total desrespeito com o player. Comprei o jogo pelo PC, jogando online tranquilamente. Comprei um Xbox pra jogar na namorada, baixei o jogo, e no momento que acaba a licensa GOLD, me cancela o online do PC JUNTOO! TOTAL DESRESPEITO!!!

This is unacceptable ... wow! Total disrespect with the player. I bought the game on PC, playing online quietly. I bought an Xbox to play for my girlfriend, downloaded the game, and the moment the GOLD license ends, cancels me the PC JUNTOO online! TOTALL DISRESPECT !!!

Totally agree the stream to your pc is completely useless for me. I had maybe hoped I could play a xbox game on my pc while my xbox runs the tv on the actual tv screen. The only way this streaming feature would work for me is to stream games/movies from
the pc to the xbox

Throwing my hat in the ring too. Was playing this today. I get an error on the launcher, went to reinstall and it's totally gone now, but it's still available to download on Xbox Game Pass, but not PC any more.

I want to carry on playing, but if I switch formats, I'll lose my progress.
