error joining session on gtaV

i have the same problem and what i do is to enter gta, then i go to the settings on the console, i start the check of the internet process, and the i go back to the game and i'm alone in the server, but then i search for a session and i enter to a server
where are about 5 people and me, and the game is stable there, i think that happens because the server is having too many people in there

what error do they get when trying to join you?

it could be that they have the wrong version considering that you can join public sessions

I have another question

Our neighbor got xbox, he rented halo reach, he bought one month xbox live, when trying to join a party with my son he is getting a network error, said .nat error. I went over to his house and he can join a matchmaking session with others but can not join
to our invite. When he entered the match making session it did give him a network error but allowed him to enter the matchmaking session.

Thanks for responding. We’re both using Xbox ones but I am using an older disc version of gtav, and when I try to join his session it says to buy the full game 2019 version in the store. Is there a way to update my disc, or do I have to buy the same version he’s playing on? I can play online by myself but can’t play with him.
