    Hello everyone, I have the xbox game pass for PC along with the beta application and windows tells me that there are no more updates, I have the version 1903, however for several days I have encountered a problem wanting to install gears 5 and I mark the
    error code 0x800701e7 I have tried several things to solve it and I can not solve it so if someone has the same case and managed to find a solution I would very much appreciate it could support me

    So,

    I have this error also. I contacted Microsoft support (chat) who after remoting onto my PC, told me to reinstall windows over the top to fix any corrupt files. I did this same error. So assuming he was right, i thought there was something seriously wrong
    with my Windows Installation.

    Yesterday, i deleted all the partitions off my PC and reinstalled windows afresh.

    Once booted to the desktop, i installed and fired up the Xbox Gamepass app and tried to install Gears 5.

    Guess what? Exactly the same error 0x800701E7!

    Can't be a corrupt file (new windows install), got to be something game or account related as this is happening on a completly fresh install (no settings or apps kept) of windows.

    Really not happy and appreciate any advice.

    or error message displayed on the screen in this situation. Update error, stop error, BSOD error prompts on the screen.

    I don't think the game is the cause of your mistake. In any case, try to stop the game installation. Uninstall it. Fix corrupt system files if there are any. Then try installing Gears 5 again

    have you tried to install the games on a different PC (on a different location), just see if it's the PC, your network or an account issue?

    If for example you are able to install the game on a different PC, then it's a PC specific issue, but if the same issue happens on a different PC on a completely different location (family/friends location) then it's likely an Account related issue.

    Depending on the outcome, additional situation specific steps could be advised.

    Gamepass uninstalls Gears of War 4 when I install it to external drive

    I didn't formatted my Windows 11 on any of the formentioned computers. I installed Gears 5 game on an external drive and installed Gears of War 4 on this same external drive.
    When I moved this drive to another pc (for working purposes) and moved back to the original gaming laptop the Gears of War 4 disappeared, but the Gears 5 remained playable and intact.

    After I installed Gears of War 4 game on the external drive, I disconnected and reconnected it the game remained intact.
    If I disconnected and connected to another pc the game disappeared. This game only, other games as Gears 5 remained intact and healthy.
