Error during current update (0x8B05002B)

Hi Xboxers,

During the latest console update for xbox one (original), my xbox gets to about 52-53% of total update (right up to the end of the second of 3 loading bars), then when it goes to reset, it simply does not start-up again to complete the update.

It turns the light on my power supply orange (standby) and just stays this way.

I am not able to restart the console for a couple of hours unless I power-cycle (power of and on again).

I've tried a factory reset and run the update when setting up the console, but the same issue occurs during the update.

If I run in offline mode and go to the 'updates' menu, the xbox notes that the lates update did not work and displays error code '0x8B05002B'.

I can't find any other help on this so far.

Has anybody faced this issue?

Any solutions people can think of?

Update: Power-cycled again after failing to update during xbox setup (after having done factory reset), in which update got to same point, about 52%, before shutting down.

I'm now stuck in a loop where I can either run the update again, which fails, or turn off the xbox.

I'm looking into updating offline via another factory reset, but don't have a flash drive handy today to try this...

I can solve the problem, follow the oflline method:

The key thing was that I have to copy all the files from OSU1 WITH the folder "$SystemUpdate" to the root of the USB (NTFS) . Without the folder I couldn't
solve it.

I have the same error code, but it's on the Xbox One S I just bought a few days ago.. haven't been able to play on it at all.

The facts we're both having the same issue at the same point (54%), and that none of the USB's are registering any thumb drive for offline update, this is a software issue for sure.

The same thing happens to me, this update stops me at the end of the second step at 53%, probe to restore from the factory, and update without Internet but it still does not go
