Open windows app store (microsoft store)

Log out from your primary account (in the microsoft store)

Go to windows services

Stop "windows update service"

Erase contents of folder: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution

Restart your computer

Open windows app store, log in yourself

Start xbox app (beta)

Download game

Thanks dude. I just lost my entire download thanks to this.

This actually worked for me just now. Right next to the start button in the search bar type Microsoft Store. When it pops up right click and go to App Settings and click the Reset button after that you should be able to download it.
