Yes but it gets stuck at “verifying update”

Yeah so im not entirely sure whats going on. I dont know if the update doesnt exist or if the update broke my xbox but i cant start up anything. It just keeps giving me the 2 minute error message and ive literally done everything i possibly can and nothing
works. I really dont want to waste money on getting it serviced, at that point i might as well just buy a new xbox

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue.

Now when you choose "Reset this Xbox" you will be given two options to choose from.

• Reset and keep my games & apps won't uninstall any games, you'll just have to redownload your gamer profiles and you should be good
• Reset and remove everything will uninstall all your games, it's generally used as a last resort if the aforementioned soft factory reset does not resolve the problem.

However, if someone in your situation is unable to complete either of these resets, or if the issue persists, more than likely your console would be need of repair. If you would like to get a repair order created, you can always do so at

device support or contact
customer support to have an agent help you with this.
