Error code thread?

I've had mounting issues with my Xbox, and even went so far as to trade in my Scorpio Edition to get a new console.

I've done all the research I can and available on the error code I was getting, as well as documenting through "report a problem." But when it came down to it, it was not just the games, but apps as well that were having issues (thus my decision to trade
in for a new console.)

So checking through the available resources; I discovered that the 1-800-4my-xbox line is now automated, and directs me to the Xbox assist app on the console itself. (Useless when it fails to launch, and I get the same error code generated.)

The trade in has already happened, and now receiving the same codes. As well as a new one. (0x97dd001e) Although when referencing available Xbox information from here - ( https://support.xbox.com/en-US/error-code-lookup ) - IT DOESN'T EXIST. [Note- the last
and latest code was to play a 4k disc that I own, and seemed to have worked fine on my previous Xbox.]

Troubleshooting has been covered with every step from resetting the modem, resetting the router, deleting my profile, and downloading that again. Resetting the console, and deleting the games themselves, and re-downloading them. [All save the HOURS I have
into the games, and again; the apps are having the same issues. [ORIGINAL Error Code 0x8027025a] WHICH by the way, seemed to have started again with the NEW console.

I've come to the conclusion, and through trial and error have deduced that something has happened with the connection, and server read. This because of Forza Horizon 4 as an example. Repeated game freezes, issues loading into areas, and lag snaps that freeze
me while doing events, pr stunts, et al.

If there is a fix (that I have missed, and aren't obvious, or listed anywhere; or for that matter a tech support that I could speak with, that would be ideal. I'm another $200+ in the hole for the new console, and frustrated at the situation. More over because
I am so very close to my goal of 200k gamerscore.

Any and all help would be appreciated, but please note that I have attempted everything I could find (sans deleting game saves, as I have HOURS into them, and again, it's the apps as well.)

It was NOT a network, or setting issue from that end. Again, after all the troubleshooting that took place; that was one of the first things addressed.

Thank you for posting this concern on Xbox Forums. We really appreciate you coming to us with this concern about the situation at hand. In regards to this issue, you were unable to launch Games and Apps, thus prompting you to trade in your console.
When you received your new console that's when you started experiencing the same issues that the first console was experiencing. When the problems first started, were they affecting all of your games and/or apps or just Forza Horizon 4? Where you experiencing
lag while playing with other people or just while roaming around the game itself?

You may want to try troubleshooting your network itself, here's a link to help you troubleshoot any networking issues

Network help, and assist, as well as other games and applications were all failing with the same issue.

If it's suggested to do due diligence in reference research, and attempting any and all troubleshooting; then that has been addressed and covered. Especially pointing out again (as the post/link was removed) the photographic evidence that it was all the
apps as well as games that were sending the error code.

As I repent the loss of my Scorpio edition, and following problems from this situation; I believe I have found an answer. [Something that hasn't been covered or suggested anywhere else in the data available to end users...the hard drive.] More specifically,
the external hard drive. As there is no way to test the drive itself from the console, or how the drive itself might be reading. (Like a missing tab in settings like that for Network connections.)

As this has yet to be addressed, or mentioned; I'd like to suggest to others to try other external hard drives, or simply purchase a new one.

I have, and the tests I ran for myself (troubleshooting) through a few games [such as Forza 4, Battlefield 5, and Super Bomberman R] and apps [such as Sling, Netflix, and even Xbox Assist] seem to fire off without problems, or error codes.

So if anyone else gets the same error codes repeating; then try another external hard drive (formatted for games/apps) to see if running specific games/apps from there will solve the issue. Hopefully this personal trouble will save others the money and time
I spent; as well as being mentioned as a troubleshooting step. (Or even added as a video for the newer users in Xbox Assist.)

If the problem persists, or I have further issues, I'll post here, and hopefully this can be used as an informational thread saving time, and cost for users.

G'day,

This sounds more likely a Network Problem and / or your setup.

You mentioned Report-a-Problem. Are you in the XBox Insiders?

If so you should post there.

As far as setup.. Is XBox a wired or WiFi network connection?

If wired, have you checked the state of the cable?

Do you have a lot of other devices connected to the router at the same time?

How old is your router (gateway)?
