Error Code 8B05000F Update Error

I did a offline update with a USB stick. I downloaded OSU1 (OSU2 didnt work and gave me an error) and it successfully updated my console to the latest OS version 10.01.1629.5101.

Thanks for responding. Following the link/steps you've suggested is a bit confusing to me though. You've told me to follow the steps for the E100 code. I am not receiving that code. In order to reach the page where I can select the E100 code, I'm required
to lie and say I'm seeing the "Something went wrong" screen. I am not experiencing that screen. If I do follow all the steps related to the E100 code it just ends with "Your console needs to be repaired". My console still allows me to access it offline and
seems to be fine there. This wasn't an issue until I was kicked to do the forced update yesterday (5/4) at around 1:00am or 2:00am and it wouldn't go through. I understand hardware failures can be sudden, but my console appeared to be operating perfectly fine
before this software update.



So I did go back to the Xbox One System Update Solution support pages. I had already done this yesterday, but I thought I'd run through it again in case I missed something. If I tell the truth and say no to "Are you seeing the “Something went wrong” screen
with an error code?" it leads me to the option of "What error message are you getting?". On this page I can select the screen I'm actually getting which is "There was a problem with the update". This leads me to the option of choosing from 6 error messages
or searching for a different one. Error code 800701E7 is on the list of 6 codes on the page. I know I've received the error code 800701E7 at least 3 times. The full code is "0x800701E7 0x00000000 0x90060006". Selecting this tells me I need to "Perform an Offline
System Update". I've already been told by a tech that since I'm in the Insider Program that OSU1 wouldn't work. Is there an OSU for the Insider Program I could use?



My other option is to search for the code that I'm getting 95% of the time. This code is "0x8B05000F 0x00000000 0x90050007". If I go by the format the 6 preselected codes are using it would simply be called error code "8B05000F". The instructions say to
enter the code exactly as shown. When I do this I get the message "Sorry! No Support articles were found for "0x8B05000F 0x00000000 0x90050007".



I continue to find references to error code "8B05000F" on these forums and other places on the internet. I couldn't find any explanation for what this code actually relates to or means. So this morning I reached out to another Answer Tech. I simply asked
what this error code means. He took a few minutes then told me "This error occurs when the console is trying to update with nothing. The new QFE update should be released for 40% of customers today". He told me this update should fix this problem, but he didn't
appear to be certain of that. I did some research on this update. It was released to Alpha yesterday afternoon and Beta earlier today at 8:00am PST/2:00pm PDT. I'm in Ring 3 and he said I probably wouldn't receive it until May 7th or 8th followed by "The update
will be mandatory for all customers on May 9."



So again, thanks for offering another potential solution to look into. If error codes are interchangeable like you're suggesting, what's the purpose of giving them unique characters to identify what they relate to? If you're implying this is a hardware
failure, why did it happen from a software update? And if it is a hardware failure, why is no one just directly telling everyone with this issue that it is? Is it possible for you to confirm or deny that build 1705.170502-1936 / OS version rs2_release_xbox_1705.170502-1936
could resolve this? Any additional information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Sorry, I know this was long. Thanks for taking the time to read it. I hope to hear back from someone soon.
