Error code 83859DD2

Hello,

I just got a used Xbox 360 and I am having trouble signing into my Microsoft account so I can perform a license transfer for the data on my old Xbox to the new (to me) Xbox. The system seems to be running perfectly fine, so I do not believe that the system
itself is the error.

When I try to login to Xbox Live, I'm prompted with a message that says

"Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.

Code: 83859DD2."

I have already done as much troubleshooting as I can. I've already changed my Microsoft account's password and performed every update I can. I was wondering if I could get some assistance in resolving this issue.

Hey guys, I fixed it by turning it off, removing the hard drive, connecting to xbox live without signing in, turning off, and reinserting the hard drive. After turning back on, another update had to be installed. After the update, the error message didnt
appear when I signed in to xbox live.

Will check back if the message pops back up.

Hard Reset of the Xbox?

I couldn't find any solutions on the search and I'd rather not lose all of the data on my hard drive. The error message has the heading "account info" so I dont believe that would have to do with the storage.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand you are having issues signing into your profile on the 360 console. What troubleshooting have you tried? When do you have the issue when trying to play a game or just signing in? You can also sign in on the
account website to make sure there are no issues.
