Error code 80190128

I have a 1 month free gold trial offer on my xbox 360 dashboard, however when i go to redeem it i get the error code 80190128.

I have researched this code and the only explanation is that the offer could already have been redeemed.

If it had already been used, surely it would not appear on my dashboard.

I have a payment method on my account and not had gold for a very long time.

Any ideas?

thanks for the reply, however i have spoken to both xbox AND activision, and both have said to talk to the other, further to my previous post, i have redownloaded my profile and still no luck, i believe this must be an xbox issue because the subscription
does not show up anywhere on my profile, however the payment has already gone through, and by not show up, i mean under the memberships tab in the settings where my live gold subscription is

You may need to sign in to chat with them, and I am pretty sure you don't have to be premium to chat with them. Give it a try either way. To chat with a live rep, look on the middle right of the page it will say 'Chat Now', you will then be connected with
them, then just explain your problem.

Hi there,

this error 80190128 may mean there's a problem with your profile.

Try these steps:

1. Check
https://account.live.com/proofs/manage to see if at least two security proofs are setup and verified. A phone number and alternate email would be best

2. Delete your profile from the console, be sure to delete only the profile, to do so check this link: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/profile-move-delete

3. Clear the console cache, see this link for the how to:

4. Turn the console off.

5. Turn the console on.

6. Clear the console cache one more time

7. Redownload your profile.(See the same link as 2.)

I am honestly not familiar with Call of Duty Elite the last time I logged in was during the beta of elite with Black Ops.

I would suggest trying to clear the cache that might help. All this does is clear your Xbox cache of games updates it will not remove any of your game save's

or your profile. It's kind of like clearing the cookies on a computer.

Also i would suggest checking the billing website to make sure you were only charged once since you said you received multiple emails.

Hey Gnr Smith! I'm sorry for the delay in response, your thread must have slipped by me! It may be due to the subscription not showing up, but I'd like to check out a few things first if that's alright with you!

In addition to DEJAVU's response, were you able to successfully link your Xbox LIVE account to your Call of Duty account? To do this:

1. Visit www.callofduty.com/elite, and sign in to your Call of Duty account.

2. In the upper-right corner of the screen, select your profile name, and then click Profile .

3. Under Consoles , select the Link your Xbox LIVE Account . Complete the linking process by entering the Windows Live ID and password for your Xbox LIVE account.
