Error Code 8018101E

I tried entering a 3 month prepaid code for xbox live. I got a message that said, "Something went wrong give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate." I did exactly what it
said and the code can not be found. At the bottom right of my screen it says Xbos-0x8018101E I entered that every way possible with the "xbos-" also without it. The website told me there were no results for my search. I am very close to switching to playstation
this console has been a huge hassle so far.

I'm not able to confirm purchase for 12 month Gold.

I too have same error code, started with 8018101e then 8007000B ???

Hi there,

I understand how frustrating this can be. Did you try entering the code online, or through the Xbox console and you got the error?

If you only tried through one (either the console or the website) give the other a try and let us know if it still gives you the same error.

I am having the issue with my three month +1 gold membership. I have tried entering it on both the console and online. Any suggestions on this issue would be appreciated

Yea the same error and yup i tired on the xbox web site, it wnt says something about still wanting to charge my old card

So like Dangerous Cutie said, calling 18004MYXBOX would probably have worked just fine. But I found that downloading my profile onto my console (even though it was already on there) gave me the option to revert to a free membership, and therefore gain access
to xbox live (at least, everything a silver membership has access to). Since doing this, I've been able to access all of my arcade games, and all of my previous dlc is no longer corrupted. Problem solved, I guess.
