    Hello,

    I'm having a huge problem at the moment and I have not been able to resolve this in any way whatsoever from anything that I found online. Here's the problem:

    I changed the password on my Windows 8.1 computer for the Microsoft Account that I was logged in with. This is the same Microsoft Account that is associated with my gamertag, MustardScroll7, on Xbox Live. I tried signing into my Xbox 360 afterwards, but
    I was presented with a prompt asking me to confirm my email and password. My email is correct within every single letter. I re-entered the password using the new one that I had created and pressed Done, but I received the error code 8015D002. I tried following
    the instructions online for deleting my Xbox Profile (profile only), clearing System cache 3 times in order, and then restarting my Xbox to try and re-download my profile. It still doesn't recognize the password!!!!

    So now, not only am I locked out of my account, but I can't even download my Xbox account back...

    I need help with this ASAP, please. Thank you.

    I am getting the 8015D002 code and can not get logged into xbox live from my xbox. i can log in on a computer just fine so i know my password. I have reset my password several times hoping to trip some trigger byt still am unable to log in. Please assist

    redeem free 7 day trail but cant use it uncer all gamers ID

    I used my gamer profile that I use logging on and redeem the sode for free xbox live code given in game but my son is unable to log in under his account. he gets error 8015D002

    Turns out all I had to do was create a new password using the Xbox internet explorer app.

    Wait, so does this mean you have to go in and change your password again for the Microsoft account to access it? Dang. For me, it accepts the password that I enter, but then I just can't get onto Xbox live to do anything even though I test the internet
    and it says its working.

    Wait, so does this mean you have to go in and change your password again for the Microsoft account to access it? Dang. For me, it accepts the password that I enter, but then I just can't get onto Xbox live to do anything even though I test the internet

    Hey FlaminNimrod! Are you sure that's the error code you're receiving? As there are typically only 8 digit error codes, perhaps there is a 0 missing in there? If you could check and make sure that would be great!



    To address the issue of this alternate Gamertag 'WalkingPurse4', I'd suggest logging into the account on your console and changing the Microsoft Account email associated with it. This will hopefully free up your old account to continue to use the email address
    you had attached to it!



    To change the email associated with that Microsoft Account you can take these steps:



    • Navigate to the Settings Hub (far right on the dashboard) and select Account.
    • Navigate to Your Information panel and select Account Security.
    • Select Change Microsoft Account.
    • Select Yes once you have created a new Microsoft Account.
    • Enter the password for your current Microsoft Account.
    • Enter the Microsoft Account and password you would like to use.
    • Complete the prompts to save your change.

    Sorry I read the original post wrong.

    -

    Anything you change on his account on the computer will change on the Xbox as well, so if you change his password it should be the same password for the Xbox unless you've signed up for two-step verification in which case you would need to follow the directions
