I'm currently playing Dragon Mania Legends, and I'm trying to make a purchase through the game. My phone tries to connect, but then I get the below error message, how do I fix this?

Hi, my son try to open games that he downloaded from the maket place.

He cannot open the game. It freeze and bugs.

The error code is 0x80070002.

I tried to find a solution on the internet but i found nothing.

He uninstalled it and install it again but it does the samething.

What is the solution for that problem?

Error 80070002 occurs when you try to install Games for Windows Marketplace

Problem

You see the following error code and message when you try to install Games for Windows Marketplace:

Sorry, Xbox Live profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try again later.

Error code: 80070002

This may mean that there's a problem with the Xliveredist.msi file you downloaded to set up the Games for Windows Marketplace application.

Solutions

To resolve this problem, go to the folder where you saved the Xliveredist.msi file and delete the file. Then, redownload the file and try the installation again.

If you keep getting the error, contact Xbox Support.

 

i found an article regarding that error, but it seems to be referring to the older "games for windows live" marketplace, as opposed to the current microsoft "windows 8/10" marketplace: support.xbox.com/.../error-code-80070002

another one regarding "windows updates" errors, which is slightly more relevant: support.microsoft.com/.../910336

seems to have something to do with "invalid system files" in general, and can occur across any of the microsoft platforms.

just rereading your post, you are playing this on a windows phone? this should probably have been posted in this forum:

regardless, the methods used to fix this all seem to involve restoring the system files that are giving the problem. one thing to check first is to ensure your date and time are correct. some servers will not allow a connection if you have an invalid date/time
set.

after that i'd suggest connecting the game to a facebook account. (apparently this is required to allow your progress to be saved to the cloud). then uninstall and reinstall the game. once you reinstall it should ask if you want to restore your game from
the cloud save. then try your purchase again.

if i am mistaken and you are actually playing on PC, the steps should be pretty much the same, except you can do a little more with windows to repair issues with specific system file. but first let us know if the above solution works for you or not.
