Discus and support Error code 0x87e1001f in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I keep getting this error code saying my external hard drive has been unplugged which is not true.     I keep getting this error code saying my external hard drive has been unplugged which is not true. Been doing this now for 24 hours first with Vikings wolves of midgard and now with van helsing 2.

    I have tried restarting console, and power cycling and factory reset still the error keeps happening.

    The hard drive is brand new not even a month old and it’s a Xbox seagate version.

    Also I am using Xbox series x.

    Shame, then the only other situation could be a factory issue with your console, this sometimes happens with consoles, I had to replace my EHDD after a month of usage, I still had the warranty thank heavens.

    Can you try doing a full reset? You won't lose your progress, you will only have to download the games again.
